Frequently Asked Questions
How does the compost pickup service work?
You sign up for a weekly pickup plan.
We set you up with a clean bucket for collecting food scraps.
On your scheduled pickup day, set the bucket at the end of your driveway, and we’ll swap it for a fresh, empty one.
Your food scraps are turned into rich compost instead of ending up in a landfill!
What can I put in my compost bucket?
You can compost:
✅ Fruit & veggie scraps
✅ Coffee grounds & filters
✅ Eggshells
✅ Bread, pasta & grains
✅ Nutshells
✅ Yard waste (small amounts)
✅ Meat
✅ Dairy
🚫 No pet waste. A full list of accepted items will be provided when you sign up!
What happens to my food waste?
Your scraps are processed in an aerated composting system to create nutrient-rich compost that helps gardens, farms, and green spaces thrive. Plus, as a subscriber, you’ll get compost every year—delivered to you!
Do I have to be home for pickup?
Nope! Just leave your bucket in the designated spot on your pickup day, and we’ll handle the rest.
What if I go on vacation?
No problem! Just let us know in advance, and we’ll pause your service until you return.
What if my bucket gets dirty or damaged?
We swap your bucket for a fresh, clean one at every pickup, so no need to worry about smells or buildup. If your bucket gets damaged, we’ll replace it for free!
